General Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Night Owls Decorators’ services.
By using the Services you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access the Services.
1) We are making the following changes/updates in our Ad-Hoc works terms and conditions from 5th April 2021 (Working on an Ad-Hoc basis allows tasks to be done as they are requested without any formal approval process.)
a) Our minimum call out fee will be €75.00 Ex VAT. Which will be applied if the customer gives us more than 48 hours’ notice to schedule a call-out. This covers maximum 2:00 man hours. Any additional man hour will cost €33.5 Ex VAT thereafter, and we will apply 10% uplift on our own expenses.
b) We do not do emergency call outs anymore.
c) Our shopping time counts as normal working hours and it is chargeable when we do Ad-Hoc job.
d) In case of an Ad-Hoc call-out, we kindly ask all of our customers to let us know 12 hours in advance about all job details. It will allow us to perform a proper shopping, show up on a job with all necessary tools, which will save time and money for both parties.
e) if any of our customers does not approve three quotations in line from Night Owls Decorators, we will apply a minimum call out fee (€75.00 Ex VAT) for any further quotation requested.
f) Social media communication: we are available on WhatsApp, iMessage, Facebook and Instagram. These communication channels are limited only for customer support such as: making appointment for quotes, react customer issues, schedule job, discuss job requirements, etc. We kindly ask all our customers do not ask recommendations how to solve their issues by own. If you have a maintenance issue, we are happy to price it based on photos or videos. We will ignore all “how can I do it by myself” requests.
g) All works are carried out by minimum two people, which means that all additional waiting time will be multiplied and invoiced based on the number of the employees on the job.
2) Potential extra costs on our services:
a) Damage repairs to our work will cost extra if done by a third party.
b) Only items listed on the Quotation Sheet are included in the price.
c) Choosing different colour, brand or material could incur an extra cost.
d) Choosing single line items from a quote for multiple services may incur extra costs.
3) Standard Terms and Conditions:
a) All prices are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise noted.
b) Payment is due 14 days after invoice on completion of works. Late penalties of 1.5% per month will be assessed on all amounts more than 30 days past due.
c) Quotes over €1000 require a pre-payment of 30%
d) Any issues with the work should be brought to our attention within 30 days of completion.
e) Force Majeure: neither party shall be liable for any default due to any natural disaster, war, strike, lockout, industrial action, fire, flood, drought, tempest or other event beyond the reasonable control of either party.
f) Night Owls Decorators cannot be responsible for any aspect of works that were not known or visual during the initial inspection. If client has requested works other than those covered in this schedule the client understands that they may be liable for additional charges which they will be notified of in advance prior to the commencement of such works. Night Owls Decorators cannot be held responsible for the omittance of aspects of work which may be required, that were not known or visible on previous inspections.
g) Proposals are valid for 90 days only.
h) Night Owls Decorators shall have no further liability other than that which is covered by insurance.
i) Night Owls Decorators is not liable for special, incidental, indirect or consequential or punitive damages to the customer or any other party.
j) Night Owls Decorators does not take any responsibility if the customer or any other third party get injured in the workplace.
k) In that case if the customer provides the materials, we do not take any responsibly if it is incorrect, damaged, or low quality.
l) Public Liability: €6,500,000 any one occurrence.
m) Employers Liability: €13,000,000 any one occurrence.
n) Night Owls Decorators does not do any exterior work between October and April.
o) Night Owls Decorators does not provide any supervision service, we do not check job status of any other contractors on the working area, except Night Owls Decorators hiring a third party services and this service is paid by Night Owls Decorators.
4) Measures we have put in place to keep you safe during the COVID -19 pandemic
a) Temperature check on arrival (optional)
b) Hand Hygiene:
i) Night Owls Decorators always provides hand sanitizer, soap, and gloves to their employees
ii) Employees need to sanitise their hands recently, in every hour
c) Respiratory hygiene:
i) Night Owls Decorators always provides face mask to their employees.
ii) Employees need to avoid touching the face, eye, nose and mount.
iii) Employees need to cover coughs and sneezes with an elbow or a tissue.
iv) We will keep the windows open to provide a good air flow.
d) Physical Distancing:
i) Employees stay 2 metres apart; we will try to work in a different room as far as it is possible
ii) We will kindly refuse tea and coffee from the customer
iii) Employees avoid handshakes
iv) Employees clean their tools recently and do not share it with each other’s
v) Night Owls Decorators will disinfect high-touch areas when finishing works: such us light switches, door handles, toilet, etc.
